Suzy Bercaw smokes a cigarette while standing by her husband Greg as they watch members from Lima Local 357 Council of Carpenters build a wheelchair ramp leading into their house in Lima. Greg, a carpenter and member of the union for more than eight years, suffered a pulmonary embolism earlier this year and has been in a wheelchair for about a month. The couple has four young children. When the union found out about the family's situation, they offered to build a ramp at their house and to give him an electric wheelchair. "This is awesome," Greg said. "It's the brotherhood."

my internship has been extended till may. i'm bracing myself to witness four seasons. a combination of financial and professional hang ups have made it so that staying in Lima and shooting for a living is quite the opportunity. luckily, matt has also agreed to stay. it gets lonely here in the island that is lima. all we have is work, great lakes beer and each other to pick on.
